Personality

Although Llyra is not a man, she sees herself as a silent guardian of Rome. She knows she doesn’t have the strength of a man, she is weak physically compared. But she cares for the emperor and is the woman that the ladies of Rome look up to when they need guidance. She is strong willed and her loyalty to Rome matches any soldier.

History

Llyra was brought up on a vineyard on the outskirts of Rome with her mother father and older brother. She spent nine happy years there until the day came when a small scouting party of carthagen soldiers managed to break through the border, burning and killing as they went. Leaving nothing but a pile of ash and bones where the vineyard once stood. Her mother and father were gone and her brothers body was unaccounted for.
Times were difficult after that; she struggled greatly with the loss of her family and the uncertainty of her brother’s death. The very thought of Carthage left a bitter taste in her mouth, she longed for nothing more than to avenge her family’s death. This quest for avengence was never achieved as she was soon sent to live with her aunty in Rome, who grudgingly cared for her until she was thirteen years old.
She had not long been twelve when she caught the eye of Valupes, to the emperor to be. It was not long before they fell for each other, much to her auntie’s delight and Valupes’ parents distaste. It was but a year later when she bore him a daughter, Natalia. Soon after the birth of her daughter Llyra moved into the palace with Valupes, waiting for the day that he would take hold of Rome and she should be become empress.
Rome has had its ups and downs, but it still is afloat and strong. Now Valupes is Emperor and Llyra remains loyally at his side.
